Yes. “GI grating” (GI = Galvanized Iron) is the common term in the UAE, Gulf and South Asia for hot-dip galvanized steel bar grating. It is the same product we supply here: Q235 carbon steel bearing bars, press welded, hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123 (75 to 120 micron), for platforms, walkways, trench and drain covers.
We can produce steel grating panels up to 6000mm × 1000mm in one piece. Larger projects can be split into multiple panels for shipping and installation.
Yes, we can cut steel grating to your required size, notch out for obstacles, and add edge welding according to your drawing.
We primarily supply hot dipped galvanized steel grating which gives 20+ years corrosion resistance. We also supply black unpainted steel grating for secondary processing.

What is galvanized steel grating and where is it commonly used?
Galvanized steel grating is Q235 carbon steel bar grating that has been hot-dip galvanized after welding, so every bar surface and every weld joint gets a bonded zinc coating. It is the standard choice for outdoor drain covers, industrial platforms, mezzanine flooring, walkway trench covers, stair treads and marine or coastal walkways where a painted finish would not last. In the Gulf and South Asia it is also called “GI grating”.
What galvanizing coating options do you offer?
We supply hot-dip galvanized (HDG) grating to ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 as the standard export finish, plus electro-galvanized and painted finishes on request. The exact coating micron is confirmed against your specification and site environment in the RFQ reply, together with the applicable standard reference.
What sizes, bar spacings and load classes can you make?
Bearing bar sizes from 20×3 mm up to 100×10 mm; common export sizes are 25×3, 32×5, 40×5 and 50×5 mm. Cross bars phi6 to phi10 mm twisted square bar. Mesh pitch 30×100, 40×100 or 50×100 mm. Panel size cut to your drawing (up to 6000×1000 mm in one piece). Load class per your span and point-load requirement – send us the span, live/point load and cover width in the RFQ and we return a stamped load calculation.
Can you cut galvanized grating to size for our project?
Yes. We cut panels to your drawing dimensions, notch around columns and pipe penetrations, add banded edges to protect the weld ends, and pre-drill fixing holes if required. Custom cuts and banded edges are confirmed in the RFQ reply.
Do you supply mill test certificate and export documents?
EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate for the steel and a galvanizing certificate against ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 are available on request. Standard export documents (commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, insurance) are prepared for every shipment.
What is your MOQ and can you send a sample?
MOQ is 1 m2 for custom size or 10 panels for standard. Sample panels (200×200 mm HDG) available; buyer covers freight. Add “please send sample” in the RFQ.
Container-Ready Packing & Loading
Palletizing, film-wrapping and container loading are performed at our own Anping workshop. We currently operate as an OEM / contract manufacturer for Anping-based trading companies serving overseas industrial buyers; the same container-ready packing workflow applies to direct international RFQs.
