Is 65Mn the same as manganese steel screen mesh?

In the mining and quarry trade, heavy woven screen cloth is often called "manganese steel mesh" because of its manganese content. Our mining screen cloth is woven from 65Mn spring-steel wire (per GB/T 1222-2016), a high-carbon spring steel with about 0.65% carbon and 0.9-1.2% manganese. It is not the same as high-manganese Hadfield cast steel (11-15% Mn), which is used for crusher liners rather than drawn wire. 65Mn gives screen panels high yield strength and toughness for vibrating decks; mill certificate is available on request.

Why is 65Mn spring-steel wire used for mining screening?

65Mn is a high-carbon spring steel (per GB/T 1222-2016) drawn into wire and woven into screen panels. Its high yield strength and toughness suit the repeated impact and vibration of hard-rock primary screening. It is not the same as high-manganese (Hadfield) cast steel, which is used for crusher liners rather than woven wire. Mill certificate with chemistry and tensile values is available on request.

What is the difference between double-crimp and lock-crimp weave?
