Stainless Steel Mesh Panel Selection Guide

How to specify stainless steel mesh panels by opening size, wire diameter, panel size, frame option and material grade for architecture, infill, safety screens, filtration and industrial guarding. Figures reflect our standard production range; custom panels are available.

1. Define the panel function first

Decide what the panel must do: decorative/architectural infill, safety or machine guarding, filtration/sieving, or balustrade and facade screening. Function sets the priority between open area, rigidity, finish and corrosion resistance, which then determines opening size, wire diameter and grade.

2. Opening size and open area

Custom openings are available between these steps. For architectural screens, open area and shadow effect usually drive the choice; for guarding, the maximum permissible opening for finger/object protection drives it.

3. Material grade selection

4. Panel size, frame and fixing
